After publishing this site I had a couple friends ask for a shoot. I am beyond excited to really start my career. In the next week I have two bookings which is crazy to me. I can't believe it. And to be honest I am super nervous.
Since I am new to the upstate New York area I had to scope out my surroundings.
I found the most perfect spot for my maternity shoot for this Saturday. it makes me more excited than ever. The ever so adorable couples only request was to have the fall colored trees in the background of their photos. I drove all over town to find a spot which will look amazing. After looking at three places one just out shown the others. Between the trails, trees, colored and falling leaves, water and bridges what doesn't this place have to offer?
This Saturday is going to be one for the books. It is one I will remember forever. My first real shoot with some wonderful friends celebrating their new little girl who is on the way. We will have some fun with this shoot. Maybe even throw some leaves around.
Who doesn't like to play in leaves like we are reliving our childhood all over again?
Since becoming a mom myself it has been amazing to watch how my little girl sees the world. If only I could see what she sees sometimes. she is amazed and filled with wonder. Some of these same feelings come flooding back when behind the camera. Seeing the world differently, slowing down and appreciating what is around me at every step and passing glance. It makes me want to dive deeper into that feeling. We get distracted by all the business of our lives and sometimes we really need to just take a step back and relax. We can learn so much about ourselves and the world around us just by trying to become more like children and enjoy our surroundings and the people in our lives more often.
