Winter Wonderland

Writer's picture: Salute Life PhotoSalute Life Photo

It's not very often that you meet people that you not only consider friends but also consider family. With these two, we knew from the start that they would be just that. They have not only been wonderful to my husband and myself, but have opened not only their arms but their hearts to our daughter. We couldn't be more grateful for that.

This time of year makes for one of the coziest photoshoots to date. Magic was in the air as we made our way through the woods. The cold was bearable with the warmth this couple shared. Truly one of the most beautiful scenes as we had a little fun throwing snow around and had some quiet but special moments. It may be one of my favorite shoots to date.

I know that it was a cold day before even walking out of our home. My toes were trying to tell me to just stay in bed and not go trekking through the woods, but oh what I would have missed. This was not just a cold day but the wind was blowing too. Luckily for the three of us we were blocked by the trees for some of the time, and I had the hubby on standby with a warmed car to jump into along the way.

I could go on and on about this couple. They are wonderful. They braved the cold and I would like to say it was worth it. The photos and moments captured turned out beautifully. They leaned in close to keep warm and that made for even more special photos.

As the shoot came to an end, we all planned for dinner later that night with the rest of our close friends. I couldn't wait to jump into editing these spectacular moments with these two. To my amazement, when I opened all of them up, the camera just loved them more and more. With every new opening was another magical moment. I couldn't help but to fall in love with every single one.

To many more memories with these two, sharing in new adventures here in upstate NY, and becoming even closer as friends.

Setbacks falls and uncertainty

The other day I let something evil crawl in my head. I had fallen back into a way of thinking I hadn’t had in quite a while. When I was...
