I am positive that this is what I am meant to do. I can't deny the joy that comes when I encounter the special bonds families have. Witnessing the real excitement and love that overcomes you as you welcome a new addition to your family is one of the greatest perks.
Taking advantage of the little moments with family as deployments come up fast and time slows down while loved ones are gone. It may have been cold but the fire between these three was felt from behind the lens.
The love this husband has for this momma-to-be and daughter is very apparent when I spent some time with them. I am truly blessed to be able to witness some amazing moments.
Some of the most memorable times in our lives are built into chaos. Military lifestyle is not for everyone. You have to be strong mentally and emotionally. We endure a lot. One of the most devastating is when your loved one is not around to share in special moments, including the birth of a child. Many military families either have done this and have powered through. This shows courage.
It takes a tribe to raise a child goes to a new meaning for those of us that are military. We learn to rely on people we barely know sometimes just to get us through the tougher times. Even though we hate it and wish that our loved ones were home all the time, we know that it is a necessary evil. We know the sacrifice and are proud of our loved ones. In other words we manage our lives the best we can and we cherish the moments we are all together.
Life is not for the weak hearted. We are our best selves when we push through the tough times and come out stronger than ever. Beauty comes in all shapes and I know that when we lay our eyes for the first time on our babies that that in fact is beautiful. It may not be the second they are brought into this world but I do know that in that moment, that very first moment, of meeting your own flesh and blood is the most precious of moments. Many wait what seems like an eternity to meet their new babies but they remember that moment for all time.
God Bless the military families! God Bless the soldiers overseas and those about to deploy! And God Bless the itty bittys that are yet to come and make such a hard lifestyle worth every second!
