My darling daughter. It is your first birthday. I’ve been thinking about what I was going to say to you on this very special day. We’ve had some amazing moments this past year.
I have been reminiscing about each and every one of them today. You are so special to me and your dad. We couldn’t have asked for a better blessing in our lives. From the day we found out we were pregnant to today you are teaching us more about love and life than we ever thought was possible.
We are following your lead Freya. You are a force that keeps us on our toes. It has been a real joy to watch you grow and learn.
You truly surprise us everyday. You are the most spunky fun loving little soul. You remind me that every second is precious and to make sure I slow down and retain as many memories I can of this crazy journey we have together.
It hasn't been easy thats for sure. We have struggled together through some tough times. From you struggling to breastfeed and mommy having to ask for help (which let me tell you isn't mommy's strong suit). Then when you figured it out I was so proud of you but teaching you it was not ok to bite me was another hurdle. It took some time but you got the hang of it. Doctors may have said you were too small but I knew you were mighty tough little one. Now you are so close to taking your first steps and we are just beaming with joy (and your dad may be covering his eyes because it makes him so nervous). You constantly are bringing us much joy. Between new adventures to new memories made, we couldn't be in a more happy place.
Our hope for you is that you love with all your heart, learn through experience, trust yourself wholeheartedly, and wish on every star. You are one special little girl!
Your father and I are blessed to have you guiding our way through life. We really don't know how we ever lived without you little girl.
This past year has flown by and I know that the next one will go just as fast if not faster. I have a goal that we document as much as we can of you being little so sorry in advance for all the photos your parents will be taking as you grow and learn.
You give us new meaning to our lives and we live to see all the smiles and hear all the giggles to come in the future. We love you so very much!
Happy first birthday my sweet pea! We are so happy to celebrate this year with all our friends and family. We know you won't remember but we will definitely never forget!
