Four year olds are one of the best to photograph. They have so much personality and know exactly who they are and what they like.
This little boy is full of life and adventure. He is ready to explore all things firefighter and loves to play in open fields. This of course made my day so much fun. The way his eyes lit up watching the firefighters display their abilities and show off their equipment was truly magic.
Some may say that little boys are rambunctious but I say that they are showing us the way they see the world.
They take on the world and give me the life lessons that I never knew I needed. Some times I get caught up in the busyness of life and forget to enjoy the smaller things. This young soul has revamped my lifestyle. I am slowing down and enjoying more of what life has to offer.
What makes this little one so special is the people who love him most, his parents. They are paving the way for this little boy. They embrace all things boy and make sure that they love and support his dreams. Watching them mold him into a little man is an inspiration.
Knowing how they love him has made me think about my relationships. Learning how others parent is one of the best parts of my job. I've learned it really does take a village to parent. Leaning on others who know what you are going through and can help on the trying days really is the way to go.
To all the parents out there, you are not alone and you should never be afraid to ask for help or support. It really is an outlet I've learned to lean on. Life is not easy and the only way to really make sure you are always on top of your game is to lean on the people who really care for you.
