Style It Your Own Way

For the past few months I've had a little secret. I have been putting together a fun shoot out with some super collaborating vendors.

We have all put in our hard work for a very special day.

This past January I had a crazy idea that I could put together an amazing styled shoot. Getting everyones help was both fun and challenging. There were many bumps in the road with this shoot. You name any problem and it happened. I had lost vendors, venue changes, and even have vendors not send items.

I literally could have tossed in the towel at any point. I was pulling my hair out at every change. I finally just learned one of the hardest lessons ever: I HAVE TO JUST GO WITH THE FLOW.

So I threw my hands up and said to myself 'whatever happens will be just fine with me'. I couldn't keep my hands on mentality with this project. As soon as I let what would have normally frustrated me beyond belief go that is when it turned out to be a fun day.

Even with last minute changes I just let it roll off my back and just let what I wanted to be a well contained project explode, I made bigger strides as a human.

With friends and new friends by my side for the day, we made what could have been a disaster turn into something so beautiful.

I loved stepping out of my comfort zone in so many different ways during this project.

We, as a collective, will never forget the chaotic beauty that came out of June 6.

As I look back on how crazy these past months were with planning and planning and reaching out to vendors and having such a blast all at the same time, I wouldn't change anything about it.

I am really excited for future fun that will come from this project. I will never forget the love that went into it and will make sure that if I ever do a styled shoot again I will definitely be prepared for all events that may occur. From this experience I will take away many new friendships and new vendor friends.

I want to thank Cut Above Stationery, Storm Rodriguez, The Handkerchief Shop, Sherwood Florist of Watertown NY, Bella Bridal of Watertown NY, Kaye Nicole Couture, Jake and Kayla, and Olya Vitya.

Setbacks falls and uncertainty

The other day I let something evil crawl in my head. I had fallen back into a way of thinking I hadn’t had in quite a while. When I was...
