Operation shower

This past year has been a year of firsts for me as a photographer.

I have had the pleasure of working with some amazing creatives to pull of some big big events.

One first that I couldn't be more proud of being apart of is Operation Shower.

This organization puts together the most amazingly beautiful baby showers for women whose husbands are in the armed services.

I was asked to be apart of The Greatest Baby Shower on Earth last summer. And with that theme, and mission, how could I say no?

I along with a fellow photographer at Ft Drum worked together for the afternoon and made sure to make all the new mommas and mommas to be feel so loved and to everyones surprise shower them with the most amazing gifts!

Being the emotional me that I am, I definitely got caught up in all the love. I was so excited to be included in this event. Watching all the smiles and getting to know some of these moms that are in my community I can honestly say that we are very lucky to have the support that is given to us.

Military spouses are often forgotten in all the hustle and bustle of moving around and supporting their soldiers. Operation Shower has made a point to make sure these moms get the very best baby shower even if their families are miles and miles away. They travel all around to different military bases just to make sure these moms are celebrated in the biggest way possible.

Just thinking about the smiles that this organization has put on these magnificent mommas faces is making me teary eyed. And the cherry on top is that I got to be apart of it. Even if I was just a speck on the list of people who help to put on these amazing showers, it means more than they could even know to be able to say I could give back to my community.

I couldn't be more blessed to have such an opportunity. Thank you Operation Shower for allowing me to be apart of such an amazing mission! And thank you for allowing these women to feel the joy and love even with their families being so far away. It may just be one day but I know they will remember this for a lifetime.
